The rooms are obviously dated and could use a little sprucing up. However, the room was spotless, the water was hot, the wi-fi worked great, the location was quiet, and the price was affordable. If you like a firm bed, this is the place for you. Check -in and check-out was simple. I would stay here again.
This place is very nice! Not fancy, but feels like home! The rooms are very neat and clean! Mike is one of the nicest people you ever want to meet! Mike and his staff makes sure you and your family's needs are met! My husband and I stay here every trip!
I called the property manager, Mike, a day earlier than my original reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, and he worked with me to find me a room on a moment’s notice. He was great to work with throughout my stay. Rooms were cozy. They remind me of a hunting lodge. I recommend upgrading to the room with a kitchen if you can swing it. With grocery stores nearby, the kitchen in the room gets a lot of use. Will definitely be back.
I have been here on two occasions - Thanksgiving 2024 and I’m just leaving here tomorrow again. Both times have been amazing. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere is nice, it’s quiet and relaxing. As well, it becomes all colorful and shiny during these festive December holidays. Mike and everyone else I’ve met who keep this place running so well are so kind, helpful and it’s been an honor staying in this small motel, in this small town in the panhandle of Nebraska. It’s not common when I give such a glowing review because there’s always something wrong somewhere, but not the two times I’ve been here, and I would recommend this place to anyone who is either passing through, visiting or even just wants to find somewhere out in the country in a small town along the highway. Mike and everyone, have a Happy Holiday and I’ll see y’all again next year.
My husband was driving from Houston to Tioga North Dakota and had been driving already for 15 hours. It was almost midnight when I found this hotel online so I called the number. Mike answered right away I explained the situation and he said no problem,we have one room left and he can have it. He took my payment over the phone so when my husband arrived all he had to do was get his key. My husband said the bed is awesome and sent me pics of the room and it's so cute and looks like a one bedroom apartment. Very homey. This is a small town and the fact that Mike was so awesome and accommodating at midnight was so awesome. So my hubby got to shower and relax and I have piece of mind knowing that he is safe and getting a good night rest. And on top of all that it was super cheap! When traveling along this route will definitely stay here again and recommend all who are thinking about it to definitely do it. Thanks again Mike for taking care of my husband. You don't know how much of a worry you took off me and I will forever appreciate you. Thanks!
Mike was very good to work with. The room is in an older motel but is clean and had the basics of what we needed for a one night stay. I was happy with the bed as it wasn't the "hard as a board" mattress that one generally has in a motel/hotel. Overall, a good place to stay at a reasonable price.
Nebraskaland Motel was a perfect stay for our family starting with our priority of a clean room. We had the available parking spot in front of our room, even though all rooms were occupied, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and shower toiletries. When booking, I didn’t get an answer on my first call but she used called ID to call me back. The owner was available for our late check in when she still had to open the office early morning. This is an older motel as expected in small established towns, but everything worked. Do not expect a modern polished room. We were so impressed with how it was maintained as its very difficult with older properties. But they prove that old doesn’t mean dirty. You can tell the owners are hard working Nebraskans!
